Good morning, and happy Wednesday. The middle of the week is here, and you made it to the middle. Pour something warm, feel the floor under your feet, and let this verse hold the whole day steady.
"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early." — Psalm 46:5 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, You are in the midst of me this morning. Not far off, not waiting at the edge of my schedule. In the middle, where the dishes are and the deadlines and the people I love. The ground may shake today. Let me stand anyway, because You are the one who stays. Thank You that help doesn't keep office hours. It arrives early, before my worry has laced its shoes. I don't have to hold up the walls of this day. You live inside them. Steady my hands at the first task. Slow my words in the first conversation. And when something rattles me, remind me whose house I'm standing in. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Name one thing that feels shaky, then hand it over.
