Good morning, Thursday. The light is coming through the blinds in thin stripes, and you are up early enough to see it. That already counts for something.
"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me." — Proverbs 8:17 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, you love the ones who love you, and I do love you, here with my hair uncombed and my mind half awake. I came looking early. Let me seek like a child in a game where the hider wants to be found, feet showing under the curtain, barely holding in a laugh. Show me where wisdom is tucked away today: in the gentle answer, in a second look at a hard problem, in the person I would usually hurry past. When I find her, let me be glad out loud. Thank you that seeking you is a joy you built into me. Keep my eyes bright and my heart quick. I am yours this Thursday. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
