Good morning, and happy Friday. The coffee is hot, the shoes are by the door, and the day is waiting with its hands full. Before you step out, hear what God told Joshua: you won't be walking alone.
"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." — Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, You said it once and You say it again this morning: be strong, be of good courage. So I'm taking You at Your word. I don't have to feel brave to begin. I only have to walk, and You walk with me. Go ahead of me through the hallway, the traffic, the phone calls, the meeting I've been dreading. Stay beside me when the room goes quiet and my knees go soft. Where I'd shrink, steady me. Where I'd rush, slow me. Let the people I meet find someone who isn't afraid, because You are near. Thank You that every place I go today, You've already arrived. Wherever my feet land, You are there. Amen.
