Wednesday leans in through the curtains, patient and ordinary, the way most good mornings are. You're halfway through the week and maybe halfway through your patience too. Sit down a minute before you stand up and run.
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, I come tired before I've even started, carrying yesterday's leftover weariness into today. Teach me to wait on You the way a bird waits for wind before it lifts off — not idle, but ready. Trade my worn-out strength for Yours this morning. Where I must climb, lift me. Where I must run, keep my breath steady. Where I only get to walk slow through ordinary hours, keep me from fainting under small burdens. I don't need to outrun my week. I need You underneath it. Renew me now, quietly, before the noise starts. Thank You for meeting tired people like me. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Pause before reacting to the first stressful email.
Take five slow breaths before any hard conversation.
Thank God for one ordinary strength you overlooked.
