Monday morning, and the world is already talking loud before you've had your coffee. Sit here a second longer. Let the first voice you really listen to be His.
"Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee." — Psalm 143:8 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, before I check anything else, let me hear You. Speak Your kindness over me the way sunlight speaks over a cold room — quietly, but it changes everything. I trust You, not because I understand today, but because I know You. Show me which way to walk when the paths look tangled. Steady my steps at work, at home, in traffic, in waiting rooms. I lift my soul to You now, plain and open-handed. Fill the empty parts. Guide the uncertain parts. Let Your voice be louder in me than every headline, every worry, every noise this day will bring. Amen.
