Coffee's still hot, the light's still soft, and Saturday has just cracked open like an egg. Nothing about this day is an accident — someone planned it before you woke up. Come sit with that a minute before the errands start.
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, You made this day. Not yesterday, not some version I imagined — this one, with its dishes in the sink and its wide open hours. Teach me to rejoice before I've earned anything, before the list is done. Let gladness come first, ahead of my worry, ahead of my planning. Where I expected gray, show me color. Where I expected rush, give me a little room to breathe and laugh with people I love. I don't want to sleepwalk through Your gift. Wake up my gratitude the way coffee wakes up my body. Thank You for choosing this exact Saturday for me to live in. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Say thank you out loud before checking your phone.
