Thursday morning, and the light is already leaning through the blinds. Somewhere a shop owner is flipping the sign to OPEN. You get to do something similar today — post the news of who God is, twice, before you sleep again.
"To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night." — Psalm 92:2 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, this morning I want to speak well of you before I speak of anything else. Let the first words out of my mouth carry your kindness, not my complaints. Give me eyes today that notice your faithfulness in small, ordinary places — a kept promise, a bill paid, a friend who called back. Tonight, when I lie down, let me have a true report to give: you were steady, you did not change, you did not leave. Make me someone who tells the truth about you, morning and night, in a voice people can hear and believe. Amen.
