His Arm Is Strong Before the Trouble Comes

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Wednesday morning again, and the coffee is still too hot to drink. Sit here a minute longer. The Lord has been awake longer than the sun.

"O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble."
— Isaiah 33:2 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, be gracious to us. We have waited for you through the night, through the alarm, through the slow walk to the window. Be our strength this morning — not later, not when we finally feel ready, but now, in these first tired steps. Whatever trouble finds us today, meet it with your arm already stretched out ahead of us. We do not need to brace ourselves alone. You have never once been late to a single morning. Steady our hands, quiet our worry, and let your salvation be the ground we stand on. We are yours before we are anything else. Amen.

Today, on purpose:
