Tuesday comes in quiet, before the coffee finishes and the phone starts buzzing. Somewhere in that stillness, God is already singing over you — not waiting for you to earn it, just glad you're here.
"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." — Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, I wake into a song I didn't start. You are mighty to save, and yet You bend close, resting in love over someone as ordinary as me. Quiet my rushing heart long enough to hear it. Let me carry that joy into this Tuesday — into meetings, traffic, tired conversations. And Lord, be near tonight to the families sifting through rubble after the quakes and fires we're hearing about, the ones who lost everything before breakfast. Sing over them too, in whatever language reaches broken places. Steady my hands for whatever this day asks of me. Amen.
