The dishwasher hums its last cycle and the porch light clicks off on its timer. Somewhere a to-do list sits half-crossed on the counter, and that's alright tonight. Let the worry you carried up the stairs stay folded in your coat pocket by the door.
"I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." — Psalm 34:4 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, I called out to You today, even in the small quiet way worry sounds like prayer. You heard me. Before I even finished naming what scared me, You were already working it loose from my chest. Thank You for not waiting for perfect words or steady hands. Thank You for meeting me in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday and taking the fear right out of my grip. I don't have to hold it anymore. Tonight I just want to say thank You — for hearing, for answering, for loving me enough to come close when I called.
Blessing for your rest Rest now, dear one — the God who heard you today is not sleeping tonight. May this house settle into peace, every fear set down and every heart kept safe till morning.
