Look up tonight and notice what you do not see: no beams, no cables, no scaffolding. The stars hang in their places, the moon keeps its course, and the morning arrives right on time. Psalm 33:9 tells us why: "He spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." Everything above you is held there by a word God spoke, and it has never slipped.
That is worth carrying into an ordinary day. The God who spoke the heavens into place is the same God who has spoken over your life. When He says He will never leave you, that you are forgiven, that He is making all things new, those words are not weaker than the ones that set the sun burning. They do not wear out or wobble. They stand fast.
So today, when something feels uncertain, try a small habit. Step outside, or even just glance out a window, and look at the sky. Let it remind you that what God says, He keeps. Then choose one promise from Scripture and rest your weight on it, the way the whole universe rests on Him. You may find your heart steadier and your step lighter, because the One who holds the heavens is holding you.
