Monday light is already leaning through the curtains, patient as an old friend. Somewhere a kettle clicks, a dog stretches, a rooster somewhere still bothers to crow. Come in slow. Let your soul catch up to your feet before the day asks anything of you.
"Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early." — Psalm 57:8 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, I will not wait for the day to wake me. I choose to rise and meet You first, before the noise, before the list, before the world asks for my attention. Stir my glory, the part of me made in Your image, and tune it like an old harp brought back into a warm room. Loosen my stiff strings. Let my first sounds today be gratitude, not complaint. I bring You my sleepy heart, my ordinary Monday, my small plans. Wake them with Your joy. Let every quiet hour hold a note of praise, until my whole day plays in tune with You. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Say one true 'thank You' before checking my phone.
