Tomorrow Can Wait Its Turn

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Leave the dishes in the sink and the inbox unanswered; they'll keep till the sun comes up. The list on the counter isn't going anywhere, and neither is God. Let the day close its door quietly behind you.

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
— Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Father, I hand You this day, the parts I finished and the parts I didn't. I won't carry tomorrow's questions to bed with me tonight — You already know what's coming, and You'll be there before I am. Thank You for today's small mercies: a warm meal, a familiar voice, a roof over my head. Thank You that I don't have to solve everything before I sleep. Quiet my mind, settle my shoulders, and let me trust You with what I cannot yet see. I'm grateful, Lord, simply grateful, for one more ordinary, good day. Amen.
Blessing for your rest
May tonight's worries stay right where you left them, and may you and everyone under your roof wake up to a morning already held in good hands. Sleep well — tomorrow has its own care, and it isn't yours to carry yet.

Have Providence read you to sleep
