Held by a Hand That Never Tires

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
— Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Think of a small child walking through a crowded market. Her hand is tiny, and her grip is not much. If it were up to her, she might let go the moment something caught her eye. But her father's hand closes around hers, and that is why she is safe. She is not held because she is strong. She is held because he is.

Isaiah 41:10 speaks to us like that. God does not say, "Grip harder." He says, "I will strengthen thee, I will help thee, I will uphold thee." Every promise has Him doing the holding. Our fear often tells us that everything depends on how tightly we can hold on to faith, to calm, to the right answers. But the hand that upholds us is called His right hand, the hand of strength and faithfulness, and it does not grow weary or distracted.

So today, if your fingers feel tired, you can relax into His. You can look around at the noise and the crowds and the unknowns without panic, because you are not walking alone. Fear may still knock, but it no longer has the final word. The One who made you and calls you His own says, "I am with thee." Let that be enough for this day, and let your heart smile.

Today's prayer
Father, thank You that You hold me, and I do not have to hold myself together. Help me rest my hand in Yours today and walk with joy, knowing You are with me. Amen.
