You do not need to see the whole road tonight. The psalmist did not ask for a floodlight over the horizon, only a lamp for his feet and a light for his path. That is how God tends to guide us: one step revealed at a time, just enough clarity for today's decision, today's kindness, today's obedience.
There is real relief in this. So often we exhaust ourselves trying to map out five years ahead, worrying over choices we do not even face yet. But Scripture offers something gentler and more sustainable: open the Word, take the next faithful step, and trust that the lamp will still be burning when you need it again tomorrow.
Think of walking a dim path with a small lantern. You cannot see the destination, but you can see enough to avoid the ditch, to find the door, to keep walking without stumbling. That is grace shaped for ordinary days. God is not stingy with His guidance; He simply gives it in the rhythm we can actually carry, step after step, page after page, day after faithful day.
