Tonight's prayer Lord, I close my eyes tonight under Your watch. You said I need not fear the terror that creeps in darkness, nor the arrow that flies in daylight — so I hand You both, the fears with names and the ones without. Quiet my racing thoughts. Slow my breathing. Let my body rest even where my mind still wanders. Thank You for another day lived, for breath still in my lungs, for this bed, this roof, this small safe corner of Your wide world. I fall asleep grateful, held in hands stronger than any fear.
