Three Simple Ways To Walk With God

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
— Micah 6:8 (KJV)

Sometimes we imagine that pleasing God requires something grand: a dramatic sacrifice, a flawless record, a life with every question answered. Micah answers with a quiet kind of relief. God has already shown us what is good, and it is not hidden or complicated. Do justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly with Him.

Notice how these three fit together like steps in a single path. Doing justly means treating the people in front of us fairly, with honest words and honest dealings. Loving mercy goes further, because we do not merely practice kindness, we delight in it, and we hold out grace the way it was held out to us. Walking humbly keeps both of them steady. It means staying close to God, step by step, never racing ahead of Him and never needing to prove anything.

Today, you do not have to carry the whole world. You only have to take the next faithful step. Be fair in one conversation. Show kindness to someone who has not earned it. Pause and invite God into your ordinary hours. These small things are not small to Him. He walks beside you the whole way, glad to have your company, and He calls the path good.

Today's prayer
Lord, thank You for making the path so clear and so kind. Teach me to act fairly, to love mercy gladly, and to walk close beside You today. Fill my steps with joy, and let those around me feel Your goodness through me. Amen.
