There are seasons when tomorrow feels uncertain, when we wonder if our story is drifting without direction. Into that uncertainty, God speaks a promise through Jeremiah: He knows the thoughts He thinks toward us, and they are thoughts of peace, not evil. This is not a vague wish but a settled intention from the One who holds all time in His hands.
What makes this promise so comforting is that it was first spoken to people in exile, far from home, waiting for restoration they could not yet see. If God's good plans could reach them there, they can certainly reach us in our own waiting rooms, our unfinished chapters, our ordinary Tuesdays. His purposes are not shaken by our circumstances.
So today, breathe a little easier. You are not forgotten, and your future is not left to chance. The same God who spoke peace over exiles speaks it over you now, inviting you to trust Him with the parts of your story still being written. Let hope rise, not because everything is clear, but because the One who holds the plan is good.
